Matt Weightman

Matt is the Fab Lab Coordinator for Intermediate Unit 1, located in Southwestern Pennsylvania.  The IU1 has Fab Labs in two of their campus schools (K-12) and also has a mobile lab that they take to local schools and organizations.  Matt coordinates all three labs and acts as the instructor for the mobile lab.   Prior to becoming the Fab Lab coordinator, he taught in adult education where he incorporated the Fab Lab to prepare students for the GED exam and post-secondary education.  Matt has a bachelor’s in secondary education – mathematics and a master’s in actuarial science.
