Summary

Emosilla l has the goal to sensitize kids to true emotions, and is based on the goals of authentic cultural exchange in Latin America, where it’ s start, and to the rest of the world. Basic concepts of digital fabrication are introduced to students as they participate in the design of their own chair and fabricate it using the Milling machine and Laser cutter. In the next step they assemble it with a press-fit construction process and paint it. In final reflection and presentation, students can compare their projects to each other and others developed all over the world! It is an open source project since 2014 till now had a lot of transformation and improvement from the design to the size of the chair that change according of the machine available at the fab lab or change according of the cultural needed .
