Jessica Nielsen

Jessica is a native Texan with a passion for inspiring future STEM and STEAM leaders. Her education foundation is in fine art and she is an enthusiastic artist and maker. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2015 and began working in mental health as an administrator but realized that art and technology conservation was her calling and made a career switch in 2018. Jessica has over six years of experience educating and working with families and K-12 children. 

Jessica began volunteering with Fab Lab Houston in July 2018. She joined the Fab Lab Houston Team in December 2018 as Education Assistant, leading student workshops and field trips, facilitating professional development, training students to safely use equipment and delivering outreach with the mobile Fab Lab unit.

Jessica thrives on sharing her knowledge and skills with others and is excited to be part of the maker movement.
