Summary

In this workshop participants are going to be introduced to 3D printing through creating geometric Arabic patterns using the 3D Doodler/Pen then they are going to learn to paint using colored bubbles.

Projector/Screen, Bubble Water, Food Colors, 3D Doodler/Pen, Pattern Template, Water Coloring A4 Paper/Pad , Paper roll table cover

  • Learn how to use the 3D Doodler/Pen.

  • Introduce Studio 5.

 

  • Introduce the bubble wand & when it was invented.
  • Explain what we are going to do today.

  • Introduce Arabic patterns.

  • Introduce 3D Printing & the 3D Doodler/Pen.

  • Show participants how to use the Pen.

 

Steps:

  • Ask participants to write their names using the 3D Doodler/Pen.

  • Ask participants to use the marker to write in their wishes in the A4 water coloring paper.

  • Use the 3D Doodler/Pen to trace the first pattern.

  • Help participants in fixing their tracing if needed.
  • Carefully remove the 3D bubble wand from the template.
  • Distribute the colored water to the participants.
  • Dip the bubble wand into the water.

  • Paint using the bubbles of the bubble wand into the A4 water coloring paper.
  • Give time for participants to play & paint.
  • Challenge participants to create the second pattern using the 3D Doodler.
  • Questions & Answers.
