I am the Community Engagement Manager at La Porte County Public Library. I have a “dream team” of staff who develop classes and events, foster school partnerships, community collaborations, and STEAM initiatives of LPCPL. Our newly renovated FabLab, located in a 19th century telephone switchboard building at 807 Indiana Avenue in La Porte, IN will open in the spring of 2021. It’s an ideal location for a Fab Lab since it housed technology that revolutionized telephone communications when it opened on November 3, 1892.
