Summary

During the month of Ramadan, Studio 5 will run a series of workshops celebrating the holy month. We will host online workshops that share Ramadan vibes using AI, coding, and digital wish creations.

 

AI RAMADAN VIBES

During a one-hour online workshop, participants will learn how to create a 3D Ramadan image using AI. They will generate Iftar, Kaaba, or crescent moon-themed visuals to digitally share Ramadan Kareem wishes with everyone.

What You'll Need

A computer and access to an image generation tool are needed to create images. For this session, we used Kidgeni.

 

Kidgeni is a creative platform designed for kids to explore and play with AI. To facilitate the session, we created a classroom and shared the access link with the participants. This setup allowed us to guide the experience and manage outcomes—especially important since the session was held online. Toward the end, participants began creating their own artworks, and everyone could view each other’s creations in real time.

 

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Understand prompt-based image generation and AI technology
  • Learn about the implications of using AI for image generation
  • Be able to explain the meaning of Ramadan and how to translate it into a form that AI can interpret

 

Reflection

The challenge is to understand how prompt-based image generation works and to design a greeting card in celebration of Ramadan.

The Instructions

Introduction to the agenda

Ice break while the participants connect. Making sure that everyone can see the video properly. Start introducing the program.

10 min – Participants connect, collection of names

 

30 min – Presentation :

a. Presentation of Studio5

b. Introduction to the agenda

c. Overview of image generation with AI, along with a brief ice-breaking activity

d. Explanation of how image generation works, why it unlocks great opportunities, and the importance of using it responsibly

 

 

20 min – Activity:

a. Join the class space on the Kidgeni platform using the link and access code I’ve provided.

b. Follow the instructions on how to navigate and use the platform.

c. Begin generating images, paying close attention to your prompts.

d. Adjust your prompts as needed until you are satisfied with the results.

e. We will review the different outcomes from all participants and discuss the variations.

Before we start, how we behave online and how we interact using Google Meet

Because of the young age group, we began with a brief overview of how to use Google Meet and explained how they should interact if they wanted to speak or engage during the session.

In fact, STUDIO 5 is envisaged as a community platform that offers technology and allied equipment support for hands-on learning opportunities. Here youth can develop their problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity and innovation skills. The prompt phase. First is important to think about what is our objective when we are generating the images. What do we want to communicate?

Careful! Always check your creations. AI is not always right and these are a lot of bias. We have to be aware of it and always observe our creations.
