This session explores the role of emotions and how they can be expressed through colors, shapes, and sounds. Children will engage in an interactive activity using the Makey Makey electronic kit to create an interactive emotion-expressing poster.

The challenge is to understand how using the same facial elements—rotated with brass fasteners—can express a full range of emotions through movement and composition.

We tested this activity with children aged 7–14 who have different levels of disabilities. The activity was quite complex for the younger children, and they required additional assistance from the volunteers. The older age group, including children with more significant disabilities, particularly enjoyed the construction aspect and the visual elements.
