Summary

On-site session aims to introduce and celebrate the national day of Qatar in a funny interactive way, Participant will also be introduced to the Micro-Bit microcontroller in order to be introduced to coding in order to code gestures on the board.

What You'll Need

This session needs the following equipment’s:

1- Login computer

2-Micro-Bit microcontroller board

3- Make code (Micro-Bit) Platform

The Instructions

Introduction

We will start by introducing the history of the National Day of Qatar and the rise of the state, Also we will consider why Qatar has changed its celebration from September the 3rd to December 18th.

1- We will start by an ice braking question about the National day of Qatar.

  • When Qatar has its independence?
  • When Qatar changed its celebration date from September to December.

 

 

 

2- Then explaining the history behind December 18 and the reason for making this day the National day of Qatar.

 

3- Then participant will watch a video shows Qatar and its celebrations in the national day in addition to the tourist places Qatar have.

National Day of Qatar 2021

In this step we will go through the slogan of this year and the way of celebrations, therefore we get to know how participant do celebrate in this day and how they wish to celebrate in the future in addition to the technologies used by the government in the celebrations.

1- We will ask about this year slogan, as each year the slogan do changes according to the struggles and to the achievements.

 

 

2- Then we will go through the slogan, and it’s meaning.

As this year slogan is “ANCESTRAL MEADOWS: A MATTER OF TRUST“, this slogan means that the lands of grandfathers should be protected as they have raised these lands for us, so we have to take care of it, so it’s a matter of trust for us.
