In this lesson Students will use Scratch MIT platform to Build a scene, where they can send a message to the world and talk about their thought during Coronvirus Pandemic. They add some characters that deliver a this massage about a good and healthy practices.

Presentation

Kids will be presented to the Coronavirus Pandemic and how to avoid spreading this Virus by following the safety rules . and one of these rules is the social distancing. Also, they will be presented to animation building and how we can make the animated characters send specific massages.

  1. Brief about Coronavurus Pandemic.
  2. Safety practices and Social distancing.

 

Scratch Platform

Introduction about Scratch Platform.

  1. Explain what is scratch platform.
  2. What is the main features in scratch platform
  3. How to use and interact with the interface window.
  4. Where to find background and characters .
  5. Explain the control window in Scratch.

 

 

Block Coding

A simple description about block coding .

  1. Explain what is block coding.
  2. explain the color codes of block coding .
  3. Introduce how to build a code and how to control a character using blocks.

Building the Scene

In this Step, instructor will build the scene by adding the characters and a suitable background. the kids will follow and build their own scenes.

  1. Choose suitable outside background for the scene.
  2. Bench With View is the suggested one.
  3. place three human characters in the scene.( Abbey, Avery and Devin )

 

Coding the characters

In this step the characters will be controlled by block codes and each character will move and say a sentence.

1- Abbey Code
