Summary

In these sessions participants will use Cospaces Software advanced features to build their own virtual environments. During a five days program they will go through advanced and pro features of the software . Each day participants should gain a new knowledge.

What You'll Need

  1. Computer
  2. Cospaces.Edu pro trial account.

 

The Instructions

Day 1, Design a complex scene

Participants will start to imagine and build an advanced complex scenes.

1- Start a pro trial account

2- Use library models to build a scene .

3- Upload , using web search the unavailable models and characters.

4- use a multiple scene environment to tell a story .

5- Introduce steps to build a virtual scene.

 

Day2, Customization

Participants will learn the techniques to customization.

1- Duplication of models and characters.

 2- Personalizing characters

 Participants will use few characters and start to customize them and use them in their scenes. Customization will include: changing Size, Skin, Hair, Shirts…etc.

 

3- Changing size and orientations.

 This Can be used for housing, Models, Trees.

 

4- Design new models using attach properties from old ones.

By attaching more than one Model to create anew Design.

Day3, Animation

Use advance animation to build a multi scenes environment.

In this day, participants will use the built in animation features to start build multi scenes for their environments. using animation for models ad characters a story will be built, the story should talk about itself without the need to explain it by them.

 

Day4, Coding

Block coding will be introduced and used in scenes.

Participants will be introduced to Block Coding and the advantages of using blocks in coding.

They need to build multiple scenes adding an extra animation and telling stories by coding characters and models.

 

 

Day5, Final Project

Building a final project in Cospaces.

  1. Review the previous days skills and featured learned .
  2. Introduce a specific subject for participants ( Futuristic Scene)
  3. Participants will apply their skills in VR design to build a Final project that will talk about a futuristic scene.
  4. Sharing their projects with others and describing the techniques that the have used to build these scenes.

 

Standards

  • (Fab-Safety.1): I can safely conduct myself in a Fab Lab and observe operations under instructor guidance.
  • (Fab-Programming.1): I understand the basic structure of a simple program and can modify values, variables, or other parameters to alter its output, function, or behavior.
  • (Fab-Modeling.1): I can arrange and manipulate simple geometric elements, 2D shapes, and 3D solids using a variety of technologies.
  • (Fab-Design.1): I can be responsible for various activities throughout a design process within a group under instructor guidance.
