Summary

This is a 2 hours session where participants will build the circuit of a battery tester and learn how to program it to display the status of a battery using Arduino. 

What You'll Need

  • A Laptop per participant with Arduino IDE software already installed.
  • Arduino microcontroller per participant.
  • micro USB cable per participant.
  • resistors 220 ohms per participant.
  • LED’s Green, Red, and Yellow per participant.
  • Breadboard per participant.
  • Battery tester prototype.

 

 

The Instructions

Introduction

Introduction to electronics & microcontrollers : - Introduce students to electricity & electronics. - Engage students in discussions. (What is electricity? How does flow? What are current & voltage? ) - Build a basic electric circuit Explain microcontrollers to students and discuss their applications.

Standards

  • (Fab-Programming.1): I understand the basic structure of a simple program and can modify values, variables, or other parameters to alter its output, function, or behavior.
