tell participants what they will learn and do during this week.

In this camp, participants will need to attend 5 days during the week, each day they will have a one-hour class.

On the last day, they will be asked to conduct their final project.

Day 1 - intro to fashion

In this lesson, participants get an introduction to fashion and the digital manufacturing technologies that are used in relating to fabricate fashion, such as laser cutting and 3D printing.

Introduce a challenge for participants and introduce them how it can be solved

introduce some examples of digitally manufactured accessories

explain the process of digital manufacturing, say before we start the manufacturing process we will need to create a design for any digital manufacturing machine

explain the meaning of digital manufacturing

show participants a video about a digital manufactured fashion such as 3d printing on fabric

Introduce participants to 3Dc.io platform which is an online tool for 3D modeling and participants can start using it without creating accounts.

you have the choice to introduce the appropriate design tool such as Tinkercad, or Solid work app for kids SWAPP for kids.

for me, I chose to start with 3DC.io for the first 2 days, and then I introduced SWAPP for kids, on the last day (day5) they were free to choose the right software based on what they feel it more convenient for them.

the feedback of participants was very positive about SWAPP for kids so I suggest starting with it.

Day 2 - Patterns and Fashion Decoration

In this lesson, participants will be introduced to laser technology in more detail, and how it can be used to make fashions, such as patterns, engraving, and cutting to decorate fashion such as leather bags and Abaya. After they will be introduced to 3d modeling platform (3DC.io) and learn how to create 3D fashions.

Introduce some manufacturing technologies such as lased, 3d printers, and electronics.

introduce laser cutting in more details

Explain 3D printing and show a video about it

introduce the stl file

Day 5 - Final project

The last day is a challenge for all participants to conduct their final project either by using SolidWork APP or 3DC.io platform to create models related to fashion such as patterns, accessories, and wearables.
